fishfinger44 · reddit · 2026-10-31
A film compositor released MatteDesk (GPL-3.0, free, local-only), a desktop app that uses your ComfyUI install as a GPU backend to run a full per-shot matting pipeline: plate repair, SAM 3.1 core extraction from clicks or text, CoTracker3 brush fixes propagated across frames, MatAnyone2 soft edges, VideoMaMa hair detail, BiRefNet/ViTMatte edge bands, optional LTX-2.5 Alpha-Gen, and EXR/PNG alpha plus Nuke .nk export. Windows-only; NVIDIA 12GB VRAM minimum (24GB recommended; LTX-2.5 needs 24GB + 64GB RAM). Some weights are non-commercial and licenses are shown before download.
