Open-source pipeline turns a room photo into editable 3D assets for Blender/Unreal
Powerful_Hospital_18 · reddit · 2026-10-31
A Reddit user built "Native Gen," a fully open-weights ComfyUI pipeline: upload a room photo, SAM 3.1 segments each object, Qwen-Image-Edit 2511 redraws each as a clean isolated asset, a custom top-down + 3D layout editor (multi-select, rotate/resize, undo, layers) arranges them, and TRELLIS.2 converts each into a mesh for export to Unreal or Blender. Backend is ComfyUI Cloud with a single HTML page as the front end. Code and demo are public; mesh retrieval is still in progress.
