The AlphaZero moment for AI coding: bespoke system designs humans can't reason about
mobileraj · x · 2026-10-31
Extending his earlier thread asking whether AI coding is in its DeepMind phase with an AlphaZero moment years away, the author argues that like chess GMs who couldn't follow AlphaZero's moves, we may see bespoke system designs humans can't easily trace. The stack — including programming languages — may be rebuilt for agents, optimized around verification and speed over readability. Teams already build custom front-ends to legacy enterprise software; nothing stops them from rebuilding the entire underlying stack.
