Core 4 Solutions, an IT hardware reseller in Minnesota, listed a used AI supercomputer on eBay for $59.7 million (or best offer) — 300 racks from a hyperscaler's cloud with 9,600 Nvidia A100 chips, 4,200 AMD EPYC processors and 1.4 petabytes of memory, "fully functional" with a 30-day warranty and no returns. Shipping is $50 overnight; the seller reportedly has two of these clusters. The author estimates renting it around the clock would pay for itself in under a year, noting the listing feeds both sides of AI's biggest accounting fight over compute depreciation.
