TestSprite auto-generates 35 end-to-end browser tests for an AI-built RSVP app, 34 pass
alexisjross · x · 2026-10-30
A demo of splitting responsibilities in agent engineering: one coding agent built an RSVP website from a single prompt, then TestSprite — given only the URL — explored the app, planned its own tests, and generated 35 real-browser end-to-end tests across 8 workflows (event browsing, RSVP submission, form validation, cancellation, waitlist, capacity limits, My RSVPs, demo data reset). Result: 34 passed, 1 failed.
The author's point: generating an app from a prompt is getting easy, but verifying it actually works across user actions, invalid inputs, and state changes is a separate problem. TestSprite tackles it by exploring the running app and running behavioral checks instead of trusting the coding agent's "done" claim. A useful build-vs-verify separation for agent engineering.
