Vercel releases Geist Serif, a high-contrast display typeface inspired by fashion magazines
evilrabbit_ · x · 2026-10-30
Vercel introduced Geist Serif, the newest member of its Geist typeface family alongside Geist Sans, Geist Mono, and Geist Pixel.
- A high-contrast display serif with fine saw-toothed serifs and sharp hairlines, drawn for both the physical world and modern high-density screens
- Unlike tech brands borrowing from vintage computer ads, it takes cues from fashion and editorial design — an homage to the artists behind Rolling Stone and Harper's Bazaar
- Positioned as a second voice for headlines while Geist Sans continues to run Vercel's product interfaces
