Nebius runs auction-driven GPU pricing, lifting rates ~20% amid tight supply to 2028

Pequity Research's breakdown of Nebius shows the GPU cloud market has become an auction:
- Auction-driven cluster-access pricing lifts rates 20% via competitive bidding.
- Contracts require 60–65% upfront payments, strong protection vs debt-heavy peers like CoreWeave (facing up to 15% interest on new debt).
- Short-term spot capacity fetches $40–50M ACV per megawatt (up to $60M with auction uplift) vs $20–25M for medium-term deals.
- Latest-gen GPU supply stays tight through at least mid-2028, so Nebius reserves 2027 capacity for high-margin spot workloads.
- Meta and SpaceX each control >1M GPUs, deploying 25k–50k units monthly.
Ben Bajarin notes this confirms his earlier take that these deals are basically auctions now.
