After 1,200 H3 renders, dev open-sources Picky, a take manager and editor for ComfyUI

After rendering 1,200 takes on a MiniMax H3 short film to get 85 keepers, the author's output folder became unusable — no way to tell which take matched which prompt or seed. He built and open-sourced Picky, a ComfyUI custom node pack plus browser-based timeline editor:
- Takes stay on their shot, filed with exact prompt text and seed, with prompt version history;
- Compare and pick: render a shot 4–8 ways, view side by side, star takes and mark one "in the edit";
- Build on picks: same-seed final re-renders, SeedVR2 upscaling, results remember their parent;
- Structured prompts (shot/camera/dialogue/soundscape) written in MiniMax's official format;
- Cast: set up characters once with reference images, invoke via @;
- A failure checker warning about what H3 tends to misread (negations leaking as burned-in text, overcrowded shots);
- Agent skill: Claude Code/Codex can drive the same API with live edits in the editor.
Open-weights only, fully local on a single 24 GB card, GPL-3.0, with a 2-min walkthrough and browser demo.
