Discord Messages in 63,000+ Public Servers Will Soon Show Up on Google Search
aftahi_ai · x · 2026-10-30
Discord announced that starting mid-December 2026, messages posted in large public servers—every "Discoverable Server" with 1,000+ members, over 63,000 in total—can appear word-for-word in Google search results. Anyone without a Discord account can find what you typed. Gaming, crypto, tech, anime, hobby servers are all affected: your 2 AM rant or hot take could surface for employers, schools, or family. A major privacy shift that forces users to rethink what they say in public servers.
