YouTube tests 30-day locked period letting spam-flagged channels clean up or appeal
gaganghotra_ · x · 2026-10-30
YouTube is testing a new approach to spam enforcement: channels eligible for the experiment will enter a 30-day locked period upon termination, notified via email and YouTube Studio. During the lock, owners can't upload or comment but can review content, edit or delete policy-violating videos, delete everything to save the channel, or file an appeal if they believe they comply.
