Gartner: 80% of independent neoclouds will be acquired or fold by 2030

Fortune reports the neocloud shakeout is coming, and even the players know it. At Nvidia's GTC in Berlin, Volta's CFO told Fortune it will be "a massive wave." Gartner expects 80% of independent neoclouds to be acquired or fold by 2030. Elon Musk says over 200 neoclouds may not survive as lenders grow hesitant to keep issuing debt financing to young data center companies. The issue also covers two areas where OpenAI could have the upper hand per Anthropic's S-1, and Democrats pressing Anthropic on AI risks ahead of its IPO.
