JetBrains released ThinkRail, a 100% open-source AI IDE (Apache-2.0, 6.3k GitHub stars) that turns coding agents into a full development workbench. Key features: isolated git workspaces for agents, parallel multi-agent coding, built-in PR reviews/terminals/subagents, and "living specs" that preserve project knowledge so the IDE gets smarter with every session. It's built around the pi agent with spec-driven development workflows.
