The Edge Medicine team from UC Berkeley and UCSF won the inaugural $10 million Laude Institute Moonshot prize, chosen from eight finalist teams in an Oscars-style ceremony. The project aims to build proactive, preventive "edge" healthcare through open-source infrastructure via JupyterHealth. The team previously received a $250,000 Laude Moonshots seed grant, and PI Ida Sim testified before the California Assembly on the project's vision.
