Paying Google Pro user says Pro got nerfed and overages drop him to the worst model

A long-time paying Google Pro user reports a frustrating experience: the newer Argon model is better but burns through usage limits in about five responses, while the Pro model—even at high settings—has degraded into short, vague, inaccurate answers.
When limits run out, he says, users get downgraded to a low-tier model he calls worse than GPT-3-era quality, and he'd rather not use it at all. He also criticizes the mobile app's design: generation must stay in the foreground, and when the response cuts out mid-generation the entire output is deleted—while still counting against usage—whereas ChatGPT and Claude run fine in the background. He closes with a jab at RAM price inflation, saying the $600 he pays for 32GB isn't worth it for this experience.
