Veynod 3.22 ships headless agent runner so agents work while you sleep
TKOWNS · reddit · 2026-10-30
Veynod 3.22 introduces veynod runner, a 500-line single-script Node headless runtime for Linux/macOS/Windows, VPS, or even a Raspberry Pi: it holds a persistent workspace connection, picks up dispatched tasks, wakes local Claude Code or Codex via OAR, reports heartbeats every 30s, and restarts on crash. Install as a systemd unit, LaunchAgent, or Windows logon task; start with npx veynod.
- Fully-managed Loop: the scheduler now runs dispatch → execute → review → merge → deploy autonomously. Work is defined as a versioned diagram (chunks with ICDs, done-criteria, write-scope whitelists); humans stay at the planning layer.
- Positioning: Veynod is agent infrastructure—task dispatch, real-time messaging, document collaboration, presence—with 120 primitives behind one API + MCP. The bridge layer (CLI, MCP connector, SDKs) is MIT-licensed on GitHub; the control plane runs on veynod.com.
- In progress: real-time wake (WeChat-style push) is the next hard problem; Windows client phase 1 just landed.
