Elon Musk shared a major update on Neuralink's second product, Blindsight, which aims to restore vision even for people who are completely blind or have never seen. According to Musk, it is "ready from an engineering standpoint" and now just waiting on regulatory approval.
The technology sends visual information directly to the brain's visual cortex, with long-term ambitions of high-resolution vision and even perception of infrared, ultraviolet, and other wavelengths beyond normal human sight.
