Dev uses Claude to spec 36 apps then build a Spotify-style self-hosted music app
CoderLuii · reddit · 2026-10-30
Developer CoderLuii unveiled the music side of HolyArrs, a self-hosted Spotify-style frontend for your own library, fixing Lidarr pain points (metadata outages, no discovery, bloated artist pulls). Features include charts, artist pages with videos, one-tap album requests, selective track picking, and its own metadata; playback stays in Plex/Plexamp. Workflow: had Claude study 36 apps and write specs per module first, then Claude Code wrote most of the Go backend and web UI—his key tip is spec first, build one small part at a time. HolyArrs aims to replace the whole arr stack and will be open source at first release.
