Amazon came up short on both sales and EPS; AWS grew 39.3% but missed the buy-side expectation of 42–43%, per RBC's quick take.
The bigger concern is cash flow: trailing-twelve-month free cash flow swung to a $42.4 billion outflow from a $14.8 billion inflow a year earlier, driven by a $94.8 billion YoY increase in capex that Amazon says primarily reflects AI investments.
