Open-source ComfyUI film studio turns one prompt into an editable, refinable movie
Goat_bless · reddit · 2026-10-30
Developer SpendinFR open-sourced H3STUDIOFILM, a ComfyUI-based end-to-end film studio workflow:
- Input: pick aspect ratio, style (movie/vlog/shorts), length, and a simple prompt (e.g. "aliens invade the world").
- A four-tier director pipeline: content director creates acts/scenes (with optional live references via Krea) → stage director builds scenes → plan director makes shots → clip director generates clips, then auto-assembles a 1920 final cut. Every step is editable by hand or natural language ("change this part to...").
- Retouch mode: delete/replace characters, remove elements, change camera angle or set, inpaint areas, precise retakes, add elements.
- Extras: Sceneboard for story references and an in-development Actors Studio mode where you play the scene and modify elements/characters.
Author notes it's buggy and ComfyUI configs are hard to replicate — follow the README or have an AI agent help adapt your setup.
