pstack's /statechart skill ships with a mini TLC compiler that helped find real distributed-systems bugs
DavidKPiano · x · 2026-10-30
- The /statechart skill in pstack v0.15.36 is now stable, best combined with /create-formal-verification-skill to abstractly model state machines and distributed systems and surface bugs.
- It bundles a mini TLC compiler that parses input, lowers it to a small IR, and emits Mermaid syntax; diagrams can be styled via Pele, an open-source Mermaid-to-SVG renderer built for Obsidian.
- Pele is dependency-free and fast: 230 kB gzipped vs Mermaid.js's 1.6 MB, 0.05–0.3 ms render times, theming via CSS variables, full Mermaid 12.1.0 diagram support.
- The author reports already finding 2 real bugs with the workflow; DavidKPiano calls it his new favorite skill.
