Google Kills Jules Coding Agent, Sets December 31 Shutdown With Data Export Path
jedisct1 · x · 2026-10-30
Google is shutting down Jules, its asynchronous coding agent, on December 31, 2026, folding its learnings into the agent-first platform Google Antigravity.
- Sessions remain usable until November 11, 2026, after which Jules goes read-only through year-end.
- A full export is offered: account settings, env vars, scheduled tasks, connected repos, memories, setup scripts, and every session (prompt, plan, activity logs, code patches) to a local folder.
- Code, branches, and PRs stay on GitHub untouched.
- Google even provides a prompt to have a CLI coding agent like Claude Code run the export via Jules Tools.
