Google releases EmbeddingGemma 2: 740M multimodal embeddings running fully on-device
GlennCameronjr · x · 2026-10-30
Google announced EmbeddingGemma 2, a 740M-parameter embedding model that maps text, images, video, audio, and code, running 100% locally. Via WebGPU and Transformers.js, developers can build multimodal search, cross-modal classification, and clustering apps entirely in the browser with no cloud inference.
