Gemini launches personal avatars: record face and voice to star in images and videos
GeminiApp · x · 2026-10-30
Gemini Apps now let users create a personal avatar by recording their face and voice, then star in videos made with Gemini Omni and images made with Nano Banana. Avatars can be shared with other Google users so friends can tag each other in prompts with consistent character and voice, and owners can grant or revoke access anytime. Restrictions: 18+, personal Google accounts, English only, and unavailable in the EEA, Switzerland, and the UK. Google documents recording tips: phone at eye level, balanced lighting, visible face, quiet room.
