Simulon turns any photo into a photoreal 3D asset — user brings an extinct quagga back to life
TinfoilTricorn · x · 2026-10-30
Developer diveshnaidoo demoed the new Simulon: he photographed a vulture in a museum, turned the photo into a neural asset, and captured it with photorealistic detail end-to-end on iPhone and Android.
He then 'cloned' a quagga — extinct since 1883 — and made it walk through the very museum where the specimen is displayed. The demo shows a new workflow for turning any photo into an interactive 3D asset.
