Ramp acquires Vesto after $1.85B raise, pushes upmarket while keeping SMB ads

Ramp had a packed week: acquired treasury software firm Vesto after a $1.85B raise, expanding into business cash management. It also hired compliance roles in the UK, Sweden and Canada (KYB, AML, MLRO), launched procurement demo ads and Stack by Ramp AI-skills ads, integrated Waymo for Business for automatic ride expense matching, and opened early access to Inspect, its coding agent (behind 3 of 4 merged PRs). A new Google ad targeting LLCs with just an EIN shows it isn't abandoning the low end.
