Mistral open-sources Le Chonk weights, tops FrontierCode among open models

Mistral released the weights of Le Chonk, a new open model targeting agentic coding and cybersecurity. CEO Arthur Mensch confirmed the drop: the model ranks #1 on Cognition's FrontierCode among open models, sets a Pareto-efficiency benchmark on Artificial Analysis, and was tested by CrowdStrike, Cloudflare, Zscaler and Rubrik on cyberdefense. Weights are on Hugging Face, customizable via Mistral Forge.
