MAIN 2026 talk: borrowing synaptic plasticity and intrinsic feedback for robust neural network learning
karimjerbineuro · x · 2026-10-29
At MAIN 2026, Jean-Philippe Thivierge (University of Ottawa) presented "Staying on Track: Intrinsic Feedback, Synaptic Plasticity, and Robust Learning in Artificial Neural Networks," arguing that lessons from biological synaptic circuits — intrinsic stabilization of synaptic plasticity and top-down processing — can be brought to bear on robust learning in AI systems. A NeuroAI cross-disciplinary conference update.
