Source post for the UC Santa Barbara TTME paper: "Can Test-Time Memory Evolution Outperform Test-Time Training for Scientific Discovery?" (arXiv:2610.32046, submitted Oct 23, 2026). Same core finding: replacing TTT's online weight updates with an evolving external memory under frozen weights wins on all five math tasks, cutting FLOPs by 82.8–84.6% and runtime by 47.7–58.4%.
