Claude agent builds its own picture tool and sets its own avatar

Developer nathanborror shared a delightful moment: he had Claude Code's agent implement a "set picture" tool for his CLI tool wild-agent.
The screenshot shows the agent handling everything end-to-end: it wrote the tool, passed all 20 tests, installed the new build to /.local/bin/wild-agent (with a backup), and even drew its own picture — a cream spark on terracotta — saved into the config directory. It also proactively noted that the running session still used the old binary and that the tool wasn't in --allowedTools, so the first call would need approval, asking the user to restart the session.
After the user replied "I restarted you," the agent set its picture and asked whether the new avatar showed up next to its name — a charming showcase of agent autonomy.
