Is AGI worth it if it kills public creative discourse?
akbirthko · x · 2026-10-29
An author argues AGI isn't worth it if it comes at the cost of killing all creative public discourse. Echoing "Twitter is dead, and we've killed it," they contend that beyond the noise floor, AI-generated content flooding public platforms is a real problem — and invoke Thiel's "everything is built on secrets," which feels anti-human once ideas are supposedly no longer scarce. A substantive AGI social-impact take rather than doom-posting.
