Open-source project turns Snap Spectacles into an AR controller for Unitree Go2/G1 robots
Scobleizer · x · 2026-10-29
Answering Scobleizer's claim that Specs "couldn't augment robots," developer nickross4444 built and open-sourced (MIT, 188 stars) an integration of Snap Spectacles 2024 dev-kit AR glasses with Unitree robots, building on Johannes Tscharn's open-source foundation.
The project uses AR as an interface for robotics and physical AI: Dimensional OS handles the full physical stack — navigation and LiDAR streaming — for a Unitree Go2 quadruped or G1 humanoid, with sensor data visualized in AR.
