Dev builds Shadowrun AI game master with fly-through memory graph: 1,947 nodes after 188 turns

A developer showcased an AI roleplay engine running Shadowrun as a multiplayer Discord game, with an AI game master and a 3D-flyable memory knowledge graph — 1,947 nodes and 7,228 links after 188 turns across 19 node types (PCs, NPCs, locations, facts, hooks, tension, etc.).
- Memory: a custom "energy system" — story-relevant items gain heat that spreads along links; the GM pulls from hot nodes while untouched ones cool and fade.
- Living world: off-screen NPCs run as separate agents with goals, doubts and memories, acting on their own between turns; OpenAI image gen generates visuals for characters/places/items on the fly.
- Claude usage: the engine was built mostly with Claude Code, with other Claude agents reviewing and stress-testing code. The GM runs on Claude Opus (narration, dice rolls against a hard rules ledger, mid-turn graph lookups); background memory filing and NPC agents use cheaper Haiku calls.
The author plans to open-source it on GitHub once setup docs are ready (requires a Discord bot plus OpenAI and Anthropic API keys).
