Microsoft launches Azure Canvases: interactive shared workspaces for GitHub Copilot agents
0xkarasy · x · 2026-10-29
Microsoft has shipped three Azure canvases via the Awesome Copilot marketplace, giving the GitHub Copilot app a purpose-built interactive workspace for Azure work.
Key points:
- Azure workflows span discovery, analysis, and action; canvases let users browse resources, explore cost data, and guide agent workflows in a dedicated UI next to the Copilot chat, approving next steps without digging through chat history.
- The developer and the agent share one workspace with visible progress and direct manipulation.
- Routine interactions like filtering a table or picking an option run directly in code instead of a model call — less waiting and fewer AI credits spent.
Feedback links and an open-source repo are available.
