Stanford professor: journals should allow AI in review with honest disclosure incentives
anshulkundaje · x · 2026-10-29
Stanford professor Anshul Kundaje continues the AI peer-review debate. His objection is not to AI itself but to journals banning any AI use in the review process; he argues it would be far more effective to allow AI use with incentives for honest disclosure of how it was used.
Responding to jmschreiber91, he adds that if there's no shame or blame attached to using AI for review or writing, people have less incentive to lie about it.
