Fireworks launches Specialized Intelligence Index with 31 new partners
lqiao · x · 2026-10-29
Fireworks AI founder Lin Qiao argues the new frontier of intelligence will diffuse into companies from model makers, and the next generation of AI leaders will win not by picking one best model but by building the best ensemble of models, leveraging their own product design, taste, and judgment.
To ground this in evidence from real problems, Fireworks launched the Specialized Intelligence Index (SII): a collection of practitioner-defined benchmarks letting teams compare models on domain-specific tasks and see where specialization improves quality, cost, or speed. 31 new partners joined today, collectively covering cybersecurity, legal, finance, business operations, chip design, healthcare, life sciences, marketing, AI research, search, and productivity (46 contributors across 14 domains, including Replit, Scale, Harvey, Zapier, exa).
