KhuyenTran16 · x · 2026-10-28
Khuyen Tran highlights a practical Polars 2.0 feature: memory-intensive operations like sorting, window functions, and complex expressions now automatically spill from memory to disk once they use roughly 80% of available RAM, preventing OOM crashes on large queries.
Caveat: joins and group-by operations do not yet support spilling to disk.
