Developer slams Apple: each iOS simulator stores its own Siri model, wasting 25.5 GiB
Dimillian · x · 2026-10-28
iOS developer Dimillian complains that Apple hasn't optimized how simulators work: his workflow spawns many simulators, yet each one still owns its own Siri model and related system assets. A screenshot shows 25.5 GiB of downloaded Apple system assets — Siri models, language data, voices, and ContextKit — stored separately per simulator, which he calls a complete waste of space.
