ChatGPT Pro usage limits being halved from 20x to 10x, $200 subscribers grumble
kimmonismus · x · 2026-10-28
kimmonismus echoes TokenGremlin's tally: ChatGPT Pro's $200-tier usage allowance is being cut from 20x to 10x within 3 days, hitting existing subscribers who kept the old quota. OpenAI issued a one-time grant of 62,500 credits ($2,500) to soften the blow, but the author argues a one-time payout doesn't offset a permanent cut.
He calls on OpenAI to use the final days of Tibo's 28 Days promotion to either rethink the cut or ship a model as good as Opus 5.5 while being far more efficient than GPT-6 Astra. With only a few days left, he jokes he'll settle for "GPT-6-Astra on Ultra mode."
