LoubnaBenAllal1 · x · 2026-10-28
Hugging Face researcher Loubna Ben Allal previews the soon-to-launch Carbon-X portal, an experimental coordination layer for open genomic foundation model work around Carbon and Carbon-X. Users can burn tokens for discounted credits on community training runs (150), DNA data filtering (75), and evaluation jobs (200), with open bounties for long-read assembly (2,000), dataset (1,500), and model improvement (3,000) credits. Creator fees fund public data work, open recipes, and a bounty pool. Integration is targeted for Friday 10/30.
