Houston Robotaxi called most 'fake' AV service map: 40 min to cross 2 blocks
reed · x · 2026-10-28
A rider reports a 40-minute Robotaxi trip to cross just 2 blocks in downtown Houston. Worse, advertised AV service-area maps often don't reflect reality — vehicles don't actually cover the full published polygon. Houston's is called the most egregious 'fake' AV service area yet, with the shape seemingly drawn just to resemble Starship.
