Four Stanford freshmen built Sophi, a physical augmentation walker robot, from scratch in 36 hours and took home the grand prize at CalHacks 13.0, the world's largest collegiate hackathon.
Sophi combines an AI voice assistant, GPS navigation, obstacle detection with haptic feedback, and robotic arms with a linear lift to help with everyday tasks like picking up objects.
