Continuing his thread on the early Anthropic investor anecdote, menhguin observes that local Asian status hierarchies are getting "statusmogged" by diaspora tech hierarchies: hearing someone is from UTokyo, SNU or Peking University earns respect, but in the AI-boom context nobody else cares — Silicon Valley tech status now outweighs elite local credentials.
