Claude Code v2.1.311 auto-compacts 200K+ token sessions, adds runner idle-hold flags
caolonghua · x · 2026-10-28
Claude Code v2.1.311 adds --hold-idle-file and --max-hold-min to the self-hosted runner to keep idle sessions alive while the host reports leftover processes. Fixes: sessions exceeding 200K standard-context tokens no longer halt with a 1M-context credit prompt — the conversation is compacted and continues — and subagents can now use MCP tools from servers that finish connecting after the subagent starts.
