Vjeux · x · 2026-10-28
Excalidraw switched its Mermaid diagram rendering to Pele, the engine by Obsidian's @kepano: 450KiB smaller, faster, and prettier in most cases, plus easy server-side rendering that unlocks future features. Diagrams in general were improved, with Swimlane charts added. The announcement came with a 'Friendship ended with Mermaid' meme.
