Debate over AI vs. human text: paper doesn't prove detection is technically unsolvable
_akpiper · x · 2026-10-28
gvrkiran shared a paper examining how and why AI-generated text differs from human text, calling it one of the first of its kind. Quoting it, akpiper notes there is already substantial research in this space, especially for creative writing, and argues it remains a hard engineering problem since the goal is novelty rather than deterministic output. He points out the paper still doesn't offer conclusive evidence that the problem is technically unsolvable.
