Microsoft has offered voluntary exit packages to about 60,000 employees — roughly 27% of its 223,000-strong global workforce — as it ramps up AI spending. The Voluntary Exit Offer follows a May plan targeting 8,750 US employees (7%) and July cuts of 4,800 jobs including Xbox staff. The news comes ahead of Wednesday's earnings, with MSFT shares at an all-time high this month.
