Anthropic's science team has spent months embedded in real drug programs with The Column Group, Generate Biomedicines, BigHat Biosciences, Divergence Labs, Enveda, and Bristol Myers Squibb. Early progress: using Claude to derisk novel targets with TCG, redesign lab protocols with BigHat, design CAR-T therapies with Generate, and more. Anthropic also entered its own drug discovery via acquiring Mithril Medicine, a single-person biotech co-founded by an Atlas Venture partner.
