Google researcher uses Genie 4 to revisit old homes and talk to his younger self

Google DeepMind researcher Huiwen Chan (@holynski) shared a nostalgic use of Genie 4: he rebuilt his undergrad bedroom at the University of Illinois and every apartment he's moved out of as interactive worlds — even making the old computer turn on. He says he now finds himself using Genie 4 to have conversations with younger versions of himself, like chatting with his naive just-out-of-college self.
