Ex-PC repairman builds JinnexGuard with Claude Code to scan MCP servers before install
Complex-Pin-4616 · reddit · 2026-10-28
A developer released JinnexGuard, an open-source CLI/MCP tool that audits GitHub repos, local folders, and npm/PyPI packages before installation. It flags auto-running install scripts, curl|bash tricks, leaked secrets, bundled binaries, hidden AI-agent instructions (prompt injection in MCP servers), and repo/package mismatches—without executing the code. Built with Claude Code by turning the author's manual checks into tested detectors.
