Maccaw's new startup Picardo: AI concierge medicine for everyone
alexbaldwin · x · 2026-10-28
Indie developer Maccaw has unveiled Picardo, the project he's spent the past year building with a small team — an AI-powered health companion. The thesis: concierge medicine is expensive mostly due to paperwork, coordination, and follow-up, exactly what AI can automate.
Two core requirements: the AI needs your full history (labs, scans, prescriptions, visits) to spot patterns, and it must act in the messy real world of care delivery — scheduling tests, booking referrals, following up. Clinicians stay in charge of medical decisions while AI handles routine questions and logistics, freeing doctors for preventive care. The goal is making "a medical team that knows you" available to everyone, with users owning their data. Early user Alex Baldwin says he's blown away by the quality of care and data it already provides.
